Since Spartacus Season 3 is about to end, I just would like to recall the previous seasons up to the very last season.

Andy Whitefield the 1st Spartacus |
In the very first season Andy Whitefield played the role of Spartacus until his death last 2011. In the 1st season, it was shown how Spartacus end up as gladiator at the house of Batiatus. He became salve just like what his late wife, Sura had predicted before they were separated.

Sura |
As a gladiator, whenever he was fighting in the arena he always think about his wife and how he could avenge her death. Upon learning that Batiatus was the reason why his wife was gone in this world he plotted a plan to struck down the house of his Master and bring end to slavery.
Inside the house of Batiatus, he made a close friendship with Varro. In one of the episodes, Varro had a problem with his marriage. He learned that his wife had an affair with another man and was impregnated. Then Spartacus told him that what happened in his married life was his fault too. If he wasn't a gambler probably by now he was beside his wife and child.
The part that I really love was when Spartacus told him
"you should be grateful that your wife is still alive. You can hold her and cherish every moment you have with her. Unlike mine, my wife is dead. I could no longer hold her hand, kiss her nor touch her. Because she is gone from me. "

Spartacus friend, Varro |
At the end of Season 1, the Gladiators strike, they joined hands to end their misery and to free slaves. Majority of the Roman guests perished in this scene. However, there were 3 antagonists who survived that tragic night: Ilithia, Lucretia and Asher.

Gladiators strike back |
According to the historical facts, experts could not really tell the other things about him. Some records about him are missing. Due to the fact that during those times, chaos is everywhere. Once the conquerors took over the place the burned down the library or all the books containing the history of the place. By doing so, they wanted the history to start at them.
Though there are incomplete records about his life during the Roman Empire. It is clear that his life becomes the legend that will be forever written in the historical books, that this is the man who ended the cruelty of the Roman Empire towards the slaves.
Upon his death, the Roman Empire gave the first "human rights" to slaves. Because of his death, they learned to have a fair treatment towards their subordinates.
He led the Third Servile War, the most successful rebellion against the Romans.
There are lessons that I learn from this series, in terms of rights each of us is entitled to live a free life. You will never be a slave not until you allow it to happen. Cherish the people around while they are still alive. Once they are gone from you, you cannot hold, kiss, talk nor have a walk with them anymore, all you have to do is to see them in your memories.
