So Close

Though I watched this film many years ago, still the scenes seem like it was only yesterday that I watched it. 

The movie was not only about assassin sisters and a police woman who was obsessed in pursuing the sisters to make them pay for every crime they had committed. 

The sisters were orphaned at a young age. They only have each other so that's explains why the eldest sister acts like a mother and father to the youngest one. The eldest one (Shu Qi) every time she would kill someone smells blood in her hands though she washed it several times. 

The youngest one (Zao Wei) controls the computer set - up of their operations and giving information to her sister who was in the field. 

But there was a sudden turn in the events. When the youngest one decided to take the job of her sister in the field that certain decision changed their fate. The youngest one failed to kill the target. Her sister came to the rescue but sad to say the police woman (Karen Mok) came and they had a clash of course.

\Because of that, the person who ordered them to kill the target decided to end the sisters' lives. Just because of a reckless action it claimed the life of her eldest sister. 

When youngest sister came home it was too late. Their home looked like a blood bath. Due to their CCTV she saw everything, that her sister fought to the end. Her sister lost her life in order to save hers. Then she saw a short video recorded by her sister before she dies. That the reason why she never let the young one handle the "field work" was because she does not want her youngest sister to smell blood in her hands every time she would kill someone. She also made it clear that she wanted a new life and to start her own family. 

Then the police woman and the youngest sister had a tandem that would bring down their opponent. Since the police woman was framed up, joining the assassin was her last option to catch the master mind.  

So they fought the armies of the master mind and the two of them fought side by side and they triumph in the end. 

Famous line they shared : "A gun is like a bird. If you don't grab it tightly, it flies away. If you grab it too tightly, it will flies away."

This one proved the saying "if you live with a gun, you will die with a gun." The essence of this film, is to teach us how family is important. A gun per se is neutral. You cannot even say that a gun is bad or it is good. Holding a gun is up to the person using it and where you will use it. 

Every one is gifted with different talents. Talents that should be used for the common good not for selfish agenda.
