Of Purity to Virginity In A Modern Era

In my years of existence, preservation is my choice. Though my parents' advise and religion are the baseline of my decision to say no to sex until I am ready to explore my spouse's anatomical parts.

In this modern world, virginity is like a taboo that must not be kept anymore.

Majority of the citizens all around the globe are trying so hard to be "in the sex thing" as if it is another kind of fashion statement.

Keeping it for me serves as a one of a kind gift to my future spouse. Not only that, abstaining from pre-marital sex could save you from sexually transmitted diseases and early or unwanted pregnancies.

According to the teachings of Bro. Bo Sanchez just in case you lost your physical virginity. You could pray to God and ask for spiritual virginity.

In the Hollywood scene, I admire this cute couple. They abstain from any sexual contact during their dating days. They both saved it in their first night together. But of course, anyone in this planet knows that their relationship did not last long-----too bad.

Once you lost it, it is like a drug that you will definitely search and cling on. You might also be addictive to it. 

Two of my sexually active female friends shared to me that they both feel that they are used and wanted just because they are very talented in bed. The sad part of it is that they are not loved nor respected in return. 

I observe after they lost it to scumbags, their perspective about relationships somewhat change. For them, relationship is like a  dress that if you are tired and bored just leave it in a corner. 

Hmmmm, that seems unfair to me. I still see relationship as a foundation of communication and unity of two individuals sharing their lives together. 

There are times the society is a bit unfair to us. Though we are ridiculed and branded as "old maid or out of the modern thing" , still valuing yourself is the highest priority. I don't want other men touch my body.

I made an oath that there should be a worthy man  to get it from me. In that course of my life, I'm still waiting for God's hands to write my story.

Single hood is the time of your life to be fruitful. It is the stage where the preparation for marriage begins for single men and women. 

Some Catholic/ Christian Preachers used to say "If you are on the state of singleness be proud of it. It is God's way of telling you that you are very precious in his eyes to be given away. "

When I asked God when he will introduce the right man, I felt his gentle touch on my shoulders as he says "Enjoy the moment. Be patient and have faith."
