Hydrologic Cycle

In the recent concluded school year, the grade 3 students laughed at how the hydrologic or water cycle takes place.

I told them a story about how it takes place, the characters were of course the active students of each class (the mischievous ones).

The story goes like this....."One day the Sun named Guiller went to see the world. Then the Guiller became thirsty he saw the blue clear water. He said  'I am very thirsty, I want to drink water now.' So he drank the water, the water which he drank became water vapor, the water vapor name was Jeuce. By the time Jeuce reach the surface it became "Evaporation". When Jeuce  his fellow water vapor up there in the vast sky. He greeted them and together they formed a group. The group that they formed was "Condensation". Since they group themselves, they produced clouds. The one cloud name was Gabby. Gabby then absorbed all the water vapor it could find. So one time Gabby turned dark and he cried a lot. He said that 'my back is so heavy I could not fly nor float any higher!!!!!!' So the tears became the rain which later called as "Precipitation". Precipitation name was Mikhail. Mikhail said 'finally I could swim with all the sea creatures in the sea, yeeepeeee.....'"

As the story goes, it is a cycle that happens all the time. This contributes to the weather world wide. This is the normal pattern, any shift from this normal cycle could give us a change in the weather. The change in the weather could also be termed as "Climate Change."

After telling the short story, the grade 3 students from the 5 sections cannot stop from laughing and the other students want to hear another story but this time they should be made as characters.

There are a lot of ways on how you could teach children. Adding a twist to the lesson sometimes could bring laughter and could make them appreciate the things around them. It can encourage them to be a creative writer someday.
