Philosophy in Education (Reflection)
After 3 times of rescheduling of my report about Deconstruction, finally I got the chance to stand in front of the class and give my insight about this topic. So here is my reflection hope you like it :)
Deconstruction
Jacques Derrida one of the founder of Deconstruction |
Upon reviewing my report on
Deconstruction, the memory during my Critical Thinking class lingers.
Way back
last summer class of 2012, our Professor told us that we should analyze first
the argument if it is valid or invalid before citing our opinions. She also
said that “in an argument you don’t always have to win; you should know the
meaning of words because it might have a different meaning to me and from
you.”
The world may give harsh views
on Deconstruction but for me it is fine to know the meaning of words since in
reality people tend to give meanings over what they say and feel.
It is widely
used in court and in debate in order for the debaters to grab the essence of
the words, phrases or even their statements.
