So nice that after ten years of waiting the second sequel of Mama Mia is here. Plus, the original casts are joined by the younger versions of Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard. Jimmy Irvine as the young Sam; Hugh Skinner as Harry; and Josh Dylan as Bill.

With my fingers cross, I swear that I will try my best not to be a spoiler. Mama Mia brings back to life the good old ABBA songs which somehow inspires my 90s days as a child singing and dancing to their tunes.

Lily James as Donna. Speaking of Meryl Steep in this sequel she is already dead with  unknown reason. Although she is no longer present her presence is felt by those who adore and love her. Sam, the character of Pierce Brosnan displays three pictures of her in the wall which gives a melancholic scene as three men recount their time with her.

Cher is another character to look out for. She appears in the latter part of the film as a cool fashionista grandma who happen to only see her granddaughter after twenty five years.

Andy Garcia portrays the part of the charismatic hotel manager which Donna's two very best friends seem to swoon over. In the latter part, his name is Fernando someone Cher's character used to date way back in Mexico 1959.

I think Meryl's absence in this film, give way to the role of Cher to commit to stay by Sophie's side (Amanda Seyfried) and her incoming great-grandchild.

Also, to put Sophie's role in the limelight as juggles in the hotel business which her mom left under her care. She gets an ample time to spend with Sam who convinces her to stay strong just like her mom.

In the first film, her biological dad is left unclear which among the three gorgeous men is the real one. But I like it when the writers put it that way. It is subtle in a way how those three grown men would handle a women such as Donna and how they are going to rear a daughter in her early adulthood.

Young Donna is right when she says, "life is short, the world is wide and I wanna make some memories." As she makes up her mind, her friends help her to pack her things. Just like a free spirit she head on her own way never knowing what her future would be. In her journeys, there she meet the three possible fathers of her daughter. Her adventure teach her about the bitter truths of life which the four corner of the school campus fail to teach us. But, through experience we learn to fail and to get up.

Kudos to the executive producers, staffs, writers and director for making this remarkable film which showcase  the mother-daughter bond from womb to tomb, they say.  The male casts resume as supporting roles. This is one of the few movies which embodies femininity in a beautiful narration of events from past and how does it entangles to the present.

Mama Mia will surely make you cry, laugh and fall in love again with life. It is not just a love story between mother and child or a special love. It is the love we find by finding our own sources of strength and belief in ourselves that we can bounce back each time we falter.
