Personal Reflection about the Song

The first time I heard this song was in the early 90's. Way back then I love the medley though I cannot understand the message. The duet for me serves as conversation between two people who long for each other.

Recently, I looked for the song in youtube.com and I find myself singing to the beat. Though living a single life, somehow I can relate to the song. The song for me reflects a person longingness to be with the person very dear to him.

Actually, I see myself in the message of the song. The song gives life on how I solemnly pray to God to keep my future partner safe. May he be doing well in his career, he is in good shape and of course after God's own heart.

No matter how far we are from one another, I know the two of us are staring at the same sky. At night, he too is dreaming about us. This time may not be for us, but in the end we will certainly meet. Every morning, I lit up a candle and pray that he may have a pleasant morning and eager to go to work.

Though it may sound crazy, but I used to talk to call his name in the wilderness. I used to give him a nickname and whisper his name in the air, hoping that the air would deliver my message to him. Oftentimes, I ask him if he already take his meals on time and what does he want to do once he got home.

I may appear to be a hopeless romantic, its fine with me. You might laugh and call me a weirdo but I humbly admit it. Due to the numerous books that I have read about love and waiting, the authors cite that even though you do  not know yet one another or probably you knew each other but not aware yet for the feelings which you might have.

According to them, you must find time calling that person and asking about his whereabouts. In the process, you are allowing the universe to work its ' magic. Whatever your mind perceives, your body will act on it. So you must practice it every seconds so that it would be a part of you.

Aside form that, the authors share that you must have a theme song. In that way, you are acting as if he is near and the two of you have a regular conversation. At night, I also pray that he will wait for me and I will do the same for him.

Though it may sound crazy to some but who cares if those habits will eventually lead us to our destined partner, right? Along the way, I learned that each individual has their own set of belief and practices. Though we are different from one another, respect should be given to others. I admit I am now nearing my early 30's and still single. It may appear childish but I am sole believer that we are in this status to prepare us holistically with our future spouses. Though we are strangers at this point in time, indeed true love waits.
