Macau 2024
St. Paul's Ruin in Macau
It was my first time seeing the old church. From what I recall from the story of our female tour guide it was built around before World War I but due to political conflict it was destroyed. Only the facade was left intact but the rest were not.
The structural designs of the buildings surrounding the ruin were full of food shops and souvenir shops. Among the shops that I like the most was the store selling beef and pork jerkies. The meet were tender and tasty. I bought some and took it home, the jerky live it up to its' fame that you could eat it without the need to re-heat it.The stony road which was shot here was old as time in memoriam.
Contrasting city view around St. Paul's Ruin the residential commercial buildings were like a remnant of the past glory of Macau while the outer city part represented the new era of Macau.
We also went to see the dancing fountain in front of Wynn Hotel. The water performance remined me of the dancing fountain at Okada Manila.
We also visited some famous tourist spots, here were some stores that were said to be lively at night since most tourists and locals were fond of dining here at the harbor.
Sadly, some shops and restaurants were closed during pandemic and did not able to recover from the money business loses which they occurred during COVID 19.
Less local Chinese were seen walking around the area and the same us tourists since it was very hot that day. Walking around if you have hypertension was not advisable since heat exhaustion might erupt your vital signs.
This was also casino where we dropped by for some duty free shopping but none of us did our shopping.
I took this shot somewhere at Marina Bay. I just love the arc ceiling it was like a gothic style created during modern times.
I am just happy to be in Macau since it was one of my younger years dream to see it for myself due to the popularity back then of Boys Over Flowers.
