#2014 Career and Growth
Yesterday I had little adventure of my life. I filed for a one day leave of work because I had to attend to a certain appointment somewhere along Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Hassle morning since not all of my need to bring stuffs were not fully prepared for some reasons. Luckily, the heavens were on my side, so i still able to come on time.
Just any other kind of initial job interviews and screening again, they handed me three pages of short bond paper for me to answer. After one hour I guess,there was this lovely and gentle woman who entered the room and she had with her my application requirements. We had a short conversation as to how and why I ended up seeking a new job and why am I leaving my current job. You know what, its hard for me to look for a nice answers to give. At that point, I had to consider the good things which my current employer had done for me against from the opposite of what really pushed me to my limits and allowed me to declare "Its Over."
Even if there were bad stuffs taken place, I still managed to say "due to professional growth." When asked further about it, just told the HR Manager that I want to learn new things, avoiding familiar places since it will be less challenging for me and by means of reflecting, its my of way understanding the things or the events which are basically put of mt hands.
In one of their questions, they inferred about my strengths, weaknesses and greatest achievement. I answered it directly and hoping I nailed it down to their expectations. I stated in the letter that I am willing to learn (it is the truth), since I am a reflective person, tend to analyze things as to why it happens and to whom, what message does it bring. Sharing my stories and the lessons I gained from academics to personal experiences to the students and seeing them learning form it, is my greatest achievement.
For the weaknesses, I wrote down there are times that I am irritable and became sickly due to the stress in the tons of paper works in the graduate studies.
Before the interview ends, the HR Manager asked me if I am interested in the religious sect since I am a reflective person, I gave her a gentle reply of "No. I want to settle down and raise may own family in one of these days." At the back of my head, I am sending signals to the world to make some arrangements for me and my future spouse to be able to meet personally, go out of a date and settle down.
Friends I a sharing this not because to make my life an open book and be just another celebrity wannabe. I am writing this one, in order for the others to see my mishaps and success, allowing them to learn and see life in a different perspective. Seeking adventure is not just in packing your bags and go around the world. Adventure starts in a journey which we decided to travel on. Growth in a career begins in the moment you finally said to yourself that "this is it myself, we will embark in this journey together, to discover more, meet new people, share the story of our lives and to inspire others, that they too could have a wonderful journey."
Do not stop from searching, search more and discover more seas to travel.
