Israel

All the things have been going on around the worldwide most especially between Israel and Iran, prayer is the only thing I can afford to offer. 

It is also a good thing to know once more where the conflict began between these two nations. According to the bible in the old testament, the country which was abundantly flowing from milk and honey was called Canaan. God gave the land to his chosen people. Out in the wilderness of the dessert God called Abram to be the Father Of All The Nations and so His covenant began. When Abram agreed his name became Abraham and his wife Sarai to Sarah. 

Since they were already old, Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to be his concubine and bore him a child. Later that child was Ishmael, the one wondered in the desert. Sarah gave birth and named the child Isaac. To avoid conflict Hagar and Ishmael were driven away in the dessert and mingle with the dessert people , nomads. Who later form the group of what we call now as Muslims. 

Conquerors and invaders came and they sent some numbers of Jews into exile which caused the diaspora of Israelites. Millenia passed by, the whole world was shocked when World War 1 and 2 happened during 1900; WW2 brought great devastation and civil unrests.

 In order for the modern Israelites to have their own home, the decision to take back what was theirs was made at last. But re-taking their ancestral land was not an easy task. It was met with civil unrest again with the Muslim neighbors at every sides. The Muslim extremists formed some rebel group whom they believe could over throw the Israelites from Israel.  

In these saddening times, I only pray for peace. There are so many bloodsheds over the course of time in the name of their religious beliefs: Jews, Christians and Islam. Everyone can live in one place even with different religions and beliefs, if only we only know the true meaning of “respect.”
