Hypocrite? Professionalism?

Earlier this summer, I have observe that once a position is given to a person everything changes.

I am not kidding!

When the position or  the title is not yet given to her last year, everything seems to be fine within our group.

But when the rest of the teachers in our department left for a greener pasture somewhere else. This certain person is given an opportunity to hold the title that were once held by those who left us.

Her ungratefulness hurt me the most. As far as my memory could gather the details of what happened last year. If it wasn't for our former subject leader she would never had a copy of my "intellectual property" .

The condition that was given to us was that we may use other people's work provided acknowledge the original writer. Since we switched grade levels last year and she's new in our department, out of my obedience she got a copy of my work.

Now that she is one of the teachers that lead our department, I have now a difficulty communicating with her.  There are times when cooperation is needed but I know deep within me, I did not participate that much.

She even brag her Alma Mater and presented that she is a University Graduate is like a slap on my face. Before she do that, she should recall of what takes place last year. It's my work that made her survive the school year and its my work that she used to teach. She's even too proud to announce she's the one who made it. That's mine not hers.

Making faces in the career world is a sign of unprofessional. You cannot please everyone and nobody is perfect. If she does not like my company, well its her choice. Before she have done that to me, she should remember that its my lesson plan that she's using until now.

Proving one's worth in the world is solely based from the individual's perception. The society did not dictate that humanity should prove their worth.

Communicating with difficult people confuses one's intellectual-reflection skills. I sometimes wonder is it a sign of hypocrisy or professionalism?

We may talk about work but never to that point that acting as we are very close. I do not like the way she states her ideas. The manner she composes herself it's as if she holds the world.

I convince myself that I will not go down to her level. Though I am a College Graduate, my two diplomas and licenses are the product of my hardship and proud of it!

Just to act normal and as if nothing is wrong, from time to time approaching her regarding the paper works but that's it. No chit-chat moments with her about what's going in our lives.

Furthermore, the title you gained should not be placed on top of your head but it should be placed on your curriculum vitae. Neither the license is not found in the head, it is found inside the wallet or ID holder.

Lastly, no matter how far you go, always be grateful to those who help you along the way be it small or big. Always put your feet on the ground.
